Inter are in contact with the agents of Getafe’s Mathias Oliveira over the possibility of bringing the Uruguayan to the Giuseppe Meazza, according to reports.
This from today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim that that players agents are in Milan having arrived yesterday to probe interest in the player from the Nerazzurri and work out the feasibility of a transfer move for the player.
Oliveira is thought to be a target for the left-sided role in Inter manager Simone Inzaghi’s system, a role for which the likes of Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic have been considered and Inter are thought to be considering a priority in the summer.
As an offensively proficient left-back, Oliveira could have the right profile for the Nerazzurri.
The 23-year-old made 31 appearances with Getafe last season in all competitions, and has made 79 total since joining the club in 2017.
Oliveira’s contract with Getafe includes a €20 million release clause, but it is thought that Inter are hoping to lower the fee from that amount to look to make an important transfer for a bargain.
