Inter winger Ivan Perisic produced a much better performance for Croatia against the Czech Republic than he did against England on the opening weekend.
Ivan Perisic received criticism from many corners of the Italian and Croatian media after the 1-0 defeat that Croatia suffered against England in the opening game of Group D.
He struggled to have any effect on the game at all and the effort levels seemed to be low. Against the Czech Republic on Friday night, however, he was much more of a creative force and ended up scoring the equaliser.
Whilst analysing the game, Corriere dello Sport described his involvement: “Second half was very good, when he moves from right to left, with a beautiful goal that keeps Croatia alive.”
Inter will be hoping that Ivan Perisic puts in another good performance against Scotland in the final game of the group stage as the player is up for sale.
