Economist and Inter fan Carlo Cottarelli has given more details about the proposed InterSpac project and the popular share ownership model.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Il Sole 24 Ore, the Italian provided details about the minimum fee for supporters to participate, and spoke about the intention of involving the Nerazzurri’s current owners in the project.

The InterSpac project is still in a phase where the most important objective is to gather support and to test the waters for public interest.

The interview demonstrates an intention by the project’s founders to determine not only how many supporters are interested, but also how many are committed enough to seriously financially support the project.

It remains to be seen how much the project will take off going forward, but with this step it can be seen that the project’s designers are seriously committed to bringing the project into reality by taking the necessary steps:

Cottarelli’s words:

“We expect a minimum contribution between €500 and €1000 Euros, and then we will count and see how many want to participate in the initiative.”

As to whether the project’s founders are committed to working with Suning:

“We want to work with Suning, we approached them two years ago but got on response. We will see now. We are however grateful to President Zhang for bringing Inter back to the top of football.”
