Sassuolo’s Giacomo Raspadori is a target for Inter, with the Nerazzurri hoping to sign the striker this summer or sometime after.
Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport report that the 21-year-old Italian’s agent Tullio Tinti met with the Nerazzurri yesterday, where Inter are thought to have registered their interest in Raspadori and asked to be kept updated on the player’s situation.
It is thought that Inter confirmed in these discussions that they are serious about the player for the future and do not wish to allow him to slip away.
Relations between the Nerazzurri and the Neroverdi are good, and it is thought that Inter CEO Beppe Marotta plans to meet with Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevalli on Tuesday with the 21-year-old expected to come up in discussion, with Marotta hoping to obtain an informal agreement on the player which the Nerazzurri could take advantage of later in the summer.
It is not yet known whether Raspadori is wanted by Inter as a long-term replacement for Lautaro Martinez in the event that the Argentine departs in the summer, or as a backup to the 23-year-old.
