Inter are targeting Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori for the summer, with contacts thought to have been made with the player’s agent.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on his show moments ago that the 21-year-old is on the Nerazzurri’s radar.
The young striker’s agent Tullio Tinti met with Nerazzurri directors today and it is thought that the Neroverdi player’s situation was a part of the discussion with Inter confirming that they are interested in the player.
It is not yet known whether Raspadori is seen as an option for the immediate future and intended to play a major role in Simone Inzaghi’s squad next season should he arrive at Inter, or whether he is thought of more as a target for the long-term future.
Raspadori’s name has come up in recent weeks as a possible replacement for Lautaro Martinez should the Argentine depart, though the contacts for Raspadori do not necessarily mean anything about Martinez’s future, and the Nerazzurri’s plans in forward areas remain to be seen.
