Inter have learned the financial rewards for qualifying for the Champions League as Serie A winners, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Figures have been reported by Calcio e Finanza that outline how much money Inter and the three other Italian clubs that qualified will earn just for taking part in UEFA’s flagship tournament.

The first fee that the club’s receive is just for taking part in the competition, so Inter, AC Milan, Atalanta, and Juventus can all enjoy that €15.64 million payment which is the same for every team.

The next fee is in relation to each club’s historical ranking in the tournament, as well as their record over the past ten years. Inter will receive €15.92 million for that, which is slightly lower than the figure AC Milan will receive. Juventus meanwhile receive a much higher fee having appeared in the tournament consistently over the past decade. They will receive €30.7 million.

The final figure relates to the number of TV viewers each team is likely to draw to the tournament, but these figures are not yet finalised.
