Inter could lose midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, with the Croatian’s contract set to expire in June 2022 and Spanish giants Barcelona reportedly interested in the player.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who reported earlier this evening that the Catalan club are considering making a push for the 28-year-old.

Brozovic is considered an important midfielder at the Giuseppe Meazza, and the Nerazzurri’s priority is to renew with the player.

However, this is yet to happen, and the player’s preference could be important in determining his future, with the possibility of departing for the Blaugranas or another club when his contract expires.

At the moment it is not thought that Barcelona have taken any serious steps towards bringing the midfielder to the Camp Nou, but with their interest reported the Nerazzurri will be well aware of the possibility that they could lose the player for free should he be tempted away.

It is not yet known how this will affect contract talks or whether Inter will take any action on the situation in this window, as more remains to be seen.
