AS Roma are weighing up a move for Inter left-back Federico Dimarco as they try to replace the newly injured Leonardo Spinazzola, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Sky Sport in Italy, AS Roma know that they can no longer head into the 2021/22 Serie A campaign without more cover at left-back.

Leonardo Spinazzola has been one of Italy’s best performers at Euro 2020 but he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in the quarter-final against Belgium. The heart-breaking injury will keep him out for at least five months, possibly more.

AS Roma are now looking at Federico Dimarco as a replacement for around €10 million. Whether Inter are going to accept the deal or not is heavily reliant on whether they are able to sign their own, higher quality left-back targets.

The latest name to be linked with Inter for that position is Manchester United’s Alex Telles.
