Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta could be the player to replace Achraf Hakimi at Inter, with the player’s arrival more economically feasible than that of some other targets.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri could look to bring in the 29-year-old on loan for next season.

With Hakimi’s move to Paris Saint-Germain all but done, finding a direct replacement for the Moroccan will be an important item on the Nerazzurri’s agenda, and numerous names have been linked.

PSV’s Denzel Dumfries has been persistently brought up as a target, while in recent days it has been reported that the Nerazzurri’s priority is to bring in Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin on loan with an option to buy.

However, it now appears that the Nerazzurri have turned their focus to Zappacosta, with the club believing that he can be brought in on loan.

The Italian wing-back spent last season on loan with Genoa, and looks destined to depart from Chelsea once again in the summer, and the Nerazzurri could take advantage of this fact and bring him in as a low-cost replacement for Hakimi who would nevertheless be a dependable option in Serie A and fit manager Simone Inzaghi’s plans.
