Belgian defender Zinho Vanheusden looks set to depart from Inter on loan, with Genoa close to a deal to bring the player in next season.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on air moments ago that the Ligurian club appear to have won the race for the 21-year-old.

Vanheusden returned to Inter last week, with the club buying him back from Standard Liege after selling him to the Belgian club in 2019.

However, it is not thought that the young defender is in the Nerazzurri’s immediate plans, with the hope being that a loan move could be found for the player in Serie A next season so that he could gain experience and develop.

Spezia were thought to be among the clubs most strongly interested in the Belgian, but it now appears that Genoa have become firm favourites for his signature with a deal for Vanheusden reported to be close at hand.
