Inter could find themselves not receiving a transfer fee for Radja Nainggolan as negotiations become difficult with Cagliari, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the only saving Inter may make by letting Radja Nainggolan leave the club could be in relation to his salary rather than a transfer fee.

The issue around the severance pay that Radja Nainggolan believes he should receive appears to have been sorted but now the terms of the transfer with Cagliari have become very complicated.

Inter could now be forced to just let him join Cagliari on a free transfer so that they can quickly stop paying his wages and reinvest that elsewhere.

This is particularly difficult for Inter after reports emerged that Joao Mario may terminate his contract so that he can move to Benfica without legal difficulties. Inter would therefore not receive the €7.5 million transfer fee.
