Fiorentina are hoping to sign Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi this summer, but could struggle to convince the player to leave the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Tuscan club are in pole position for the 25-year-old but may have to pursue alternatives if the player does not wish to join them.

La Viola are looking to bring in midfield reinforcements this summer, and it is thought that Sensi is their priority option in the position.

They could step up their interest in the player soon, but it remains to be seen not only whether they could persuade Inter to part ways with the player, but also whether they could persuade the player, who is currently hopeful of fighting for a place in the Nerazzurri first team.

Should they miss out on Sensi, La Viola could turn their attention to the likes of Empoli’s Samuele Ricci or Milan’s Tomasso Pobega.
