Midfielder Stefano Sensi will re-join the rest of the Inter squadfor pre-season training on Monday after coming back from his honeymoon.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 25-year-old is currently away from the squad as he prepares for his wedding to girlfriend Giulia Amodio tomorrow.

Sensi will hope to impress new head coach Simone Inzaghi when he resumes training, with the midfielder hoping to earn a significant role in the team going forward into next season.

Despite showing flashes of his talent, Sensi has not been able to cement a major role for himself at the Nerazzurri since joining in the summer of 2019 due to persistent injury troubles.

The bulk of his training so far has been focused on muscle-strengthening exercises, as the player and the club hope to ensure that he is less prone to injury setbacks going forward and can show his quality on a sustained basis.

Starting next week, Sensi will look to earn the trust of Inzaghi as he works on tactical training with the new manager and the rest of the squad.
