Inter have confirmed their participation in the upcoming pre-season tournament the Florida Cup.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri are set to attend the tournament in spite of reports that they were considering changing their plans due to fears about COVID-19.

The Nerazzurri have been scheduled to attend the tournament in Florida alongside Arsenal, Everton, and Millionarios.

However, they have been reconsidering plans and mulling over the possibility of either withdrawing from the tournament or sending a reduced delegation over health concerns.

The club are said to be anxious about the risks associated with the Delta variant of COVID-19.

Nevertheless, the clubs will press on with attendance at the tournament as scheduled, and are set to kick off the tournament with a friendly against Arsenal on Sunday.

Next, on Wedensday July 28 they will meet the winner of a friendly between Millionarios and Everton.

Upon returning to Europe, the club’s subsequent friendlies will be against Atletico Madrid (in Israel on August 8) and against Dynamo Kiev (in Monza on August 14).
