Inter have agreed personal terms on a contract with Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, though it remains to be seen whether an agreement can be reached with his current club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the club have agreed terms on a four-year contract with the Uruguayan worth a net of €3 million per season.

Nandez has made his will clear to Cagliari that he wants to leave to join the Nerazzurri, and the Rossoblu are thought to be ready to negotiate with the Nerazzurri on the 25-year-old’s sale.

The Sardinian club are willing to part with the midfielder, though they are hoping for assurances that the fee for his sale will arrive in due time, whereas the Nerazzurri prefer a paid loan with an option to buy.

The player, for his part, hopes to have his future settled as quickly as possible, though he is still on vacation after participating in the Copa America with Uruguay.

The hope is that when he returns towards the end of the month, the player will have a clearer indication of where his future lays, and that the transfer saga will not drag on while he remains a Cagliari player.
