Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi has expressed his thoughts headed into next season.
Speaking to Inter TV, as reported by FCInter1908, the 25-year-old outlined the ambition to win the Scudetto once again, and expressed the strong desire present in the squad.
Additionally, the midfielder gave a positive account of his early experiences with new head coach Simone Inzaghi and his staff, stating that the manager is making a good impression on the squad and doing a good job of conveying his ideas.
Sensi will hope that he can make a significant contribution headed into the upcoming season, with the midfielder having struggled for fitness during his first two seasons with the Nerazzurri.
If he is able to avoid recurring injury issues, Sensi could be a major contributor under the new head coach, and his words reflect a sense that he is ready to give his all for the team and understands what’s at stake next season.
Sensi underlined that the Nerazzurri are preparing for the next season in a great manner.
“Everything is going well, there is enthusiasm. We are working to prepare ourselves as best we can for a competitive season – teams have strengthened.
“But we have to think about ourselves and work hard to do great things. The goal will be to defend the Scudetto tooth and nail – there is enthusiasm and desire to work hard, it is a good starting point.”
The former Sassuolo midfielder continued by praising the impression made on him by new coach Simone Inzaghi.
“Inzaghi and the staff made me very positive impressions -they are well-trained men who want to work, they are passing on their idea of the game and we are getting a lot out of it.”
In conclusion Sensi spoke about looking forward to the first match of next season against Genoa.
“I imagine it with the fans, it will be a great thing. It will be a difficult match, they’re a good team. We will prepare as best we can hoping to bring home the three points.”
