Inter are ready to make a move for Lazio striker Felipe Caicedo to serve as a backup to Romelu Lukaku.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero, who report that the 32-year-old is among the players who could be let go of by the Biancocelesti this summer.

Lazio are looking to overhaul their squad headed into next season, and as part of this a number of players not in the plans of new head coach Maurizio Sarri could depart.

Among the players potentially set for an exit is Caicedo, who could be allowed to leave for the right fee as the Biancocelesti look to raise funds for incomings.

The Ecuadorian is liked by Inter boss Simone Inzaghi, with whom he worked for several seasons while at Lazio, and the Nerazzurri consider him a good fit in their search for a backup striker to Romelu Lukaku this summer.

It remains to be seen if a deal can be completed for Caicedo, but he is a target for the Nerazzurri.
