Stefan de Vrij could be on his way out at Inter, with his agent Mino Raiola probing interest in the Dutch defender from clubs in the Premier League.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that Raiola could look to facilitate a transfer for the 29-year-old, and that the Nerazzurri would consider his sale for the right offer.

De Vrij has been an important player for the Nerazzurri since his arrival in the summer of 2018, having been a key figure in the club’s formidable backline as they won the Scudetto last season.

The club do not want to part ways with the player, but could do so for financial reasons, as a large fee would represent pure capital gains given that he came in on a free transfer from Lazio, and the club could then refuse offers for other star players.

However, at the present it is thought that the Nerazzurri are working on the extension of de Vrij’s contract, with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2023.
