Inter could struggle to meet the financial demands of PSV should they wish to sign right-back Denzel Dumfries this summer.

This according to Dutch news outlet Eindhovens Dagblad, who report that the Eredivisie side are intent on bringing in a fee in the €15-20 million range.

Dumfries has been identified as one of the main targets in the Nerazzurri’s search for a right-sided player to replace Achraf Hakimi after the Moroccan’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain.

The player would like a move to the Nerazzurri, with the 25-year-old less interested in a move to Premier League team Everton, and is currently training separately from the rest of the group under the assumption that he could be sold this summer.

However, the Nerazzurri may not be able to make an offer which PSV will accept, with the Dutch club aiming to recoup €15-20 million from his sale, having already brought in €11 million when rightback Santiago Arias was sold to Atletico Madrid in 2018.

The demanded fee would likely be partly dependent on add-ons, and the Nerazzurri could hope to find a solution in which they could financially accommodate the deal by paying in installments.

However, given the restrictions on spending currently imposed by Suning, they could miss out on the player.
