Newly promoted Serie A side have agreed to pay half of Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti’s wages in order to take the 22-year-old on loan next season.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that with this the Tuscan club are close to agreeing a move with the Nerazzurri.

Pinamonti is thought to be a player who the Nerazzurri have been determined to find a new club for this summer, with the player not in head coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans for next season and his wages considered too high for a player who is not a first-team regular.

A number of clubs have emerged as suitors for the Italian, but Empoli appear to be close to winning the race for his signature, with talks progressing near to a close between the newly-promoted team and Inter about a loan move.

The Tuscans had still struggled on the player’s full wages, and they have reached an agreement which would see them pay 50% of the total amount and the Nerazzurri cover the rest.
