Inter are unlikely to be able to afford Lazio forward Joaquin Correa this summer, as they rebuild their forward line following the impending sale of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea.

According to L’Interista.it, the Nerazzurri are searching for two new forwards as they replace Lukaku, with the Belgium international on the verge of a return to the Premier League.

Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata is the primary target, but coach Simone Inzaghi would also like a secondary option to back up the Colombia international and directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are working on targets.

Inzaghi’s preferred choice is Correa from former club Lazio, but the demands of Biancoceleste President Claudio Lotito are expected to be beyond Inter’s financial capabilities.

Inter may instead turn to Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca following a positive season on loan at Genoa last term. However, the Nerazzurri would only be able to bring him in on loan, with Sassuolo unwilling to sell outright.
