Inter are now leading the chase for PSV wing-back Denzel Dumfries, jumping ahead of other clubs interested in the 25-year-old.

This according to Dutch news outlet Eindhoven Dagblad, who report that the Nerazzurri could make an offer this week which will put them in the driver’s seat to quickly complete the signing of the Dutchman.

PSV have no interest in letting the player depart on loan with a purchase option, as had been the Nerazzurri’s previous offer for the player, but will not resist on an offer for €15-20 million.

Inter are now set to make an offer which they hope will quickly persuade the Dutch side to part ways with the wing-back.

Dumfries is the top target for the Nerazzurri in their search to replace Achraf Hakimi following the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain last month, and it now appears that they are close to finally getting his signing over the line.
