Long-term Inter target Nahitan Nandez could now move to Leeds United after Inter turned their attentions elsewhere for an Achraf Hakimi replacement, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Leeds United have thrown their hat back in the ring for the Uruguayan midfielder after the developments of the recent week that saw Nahitan Nandez refuse to train with the Cagliari squad.
Nahitan Nandez had looked set to join Inter but the negotiations hit a snag over the loan fee. Inter then snapped up Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven and that has significantly lowered Nahitan Nandez’s chances of becoming an Inter player.
Leeds United were heavily linked with Nahitan Nandez earlier in the transfer window but the player was not keen on the move because he knew there was the opportunity for Champions league football at Inter. Now though, he may see Leeds United as the next best thing.
