Inter forward Alexis Sanchez will be back in Milan either today or tomorrow, having been in Barcelona working with a muscular specialist to recover from a calf injury.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that a recovery timeline will be clearer for the knock that the Chilean is currently recovering from when he returns.

Sanchez missed much of the Copa America with Chile, only participating for 45 minutes against Brazil, and he has continued to struggle with the injury which ruled him out of that competition for the rest of the summer.

It had been hoped that the 32-year-old would be available in time to face Genoa in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A opener this weekend, but he now looks set to miss several more weeks.

The consultation with the specialist will have shed some light on the player’s condition, and the club will hope that they will soon have a better idea of when they will be able to count on Sanchez.
