Inter could agree on a termination of Alexis Sanchez’s contract by mutual consent with the player.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Chilean’s injury struggles could mean that the Nerazzurri look to end his time at the club and that should they do so they will pursue a replacement.

Sanchez has been dealing with persistent injury struggles which have been plaguing him for much of the summer, with the 32-year-old having missed all but 45 minutes of the Copa America with his country.

The forward is still recovering from the calf injury which ruled him out of the Copa, and he will miss at least the first two games of the Serie A season with his future after that also uncertain.

The Nerazzurri are considering ending their association with Sanchez should the player agree to a termination of his contract, and there would in this case be room in their squad for one more attacker.
