Inter are set to offer Lautaro Martinez wages of €6.5 million net plus add-ons on a proposed new deal with the club.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Argentine and his agent are asking for €7.5 million, while the Nerazzurri are not yet ready to go that high with their offer but will nevertheless increase their initial offer in a bid to convince the Argentine to commit his future.

Martinez’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and the Nerazzurri want to keep him on beyond that and make him an important player.

The club have already met with the 24-year-old’s agent Alejandro Camano, having held talks last week in which the parties brought forward their offers and tried to come closer to an agreement.

Another meeting is expected soon, and the Nerazzurri will hope to have the situation wrapped up and to secure the striker’s future at the club.

Furthermore, the club are planning to remove the €111 million release clause that is in his current deal from the new contract.
