Unneeded Inter midfielder Valentino Lazaro is set to join either Benfica or Borussia Dortmund on loan.
As reported in today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, the 25-year-old Austrian will almost certainly leave the club in this transfer window, with coach Simone Inzaghi not convinced by the player.
Both Benfica and Borussia Dortmund are keen to sign the 25-year-old Lazaro, who can play as a wing back, wide midfielder or winger.
The transfer market closes next week on Tuesday, so the Nerazzurri will need to be quick in finding a new home for the Austrian, whose contract expires in Milan in 2024.
The 25-year-old Lazaro made 22 Bundesliga appearances last season whilst on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach, for a total of 1236 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals, including an incredible scorpion kick.
His performances last season were not convincing enough to new coach Inzaghi, who did not include the Austrian in his project.
