Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is ready to sign a new deal with the club and commit his future, with the player and club all ready to sign a four-year contract extension.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the 24-year-old is set to put pen to paper on the new deal this Wednesday.

Martinez’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and with a number of major European clubs hovering over him, the Nerazzurri have been keen to secure his future with a new deal.

The player for his part has been thought to have the will of staying on at the club and has sought a wage increase more reflective of his status as an important player.

Contract talks were begun a couple weeks ago and moved along swiftly, and it now looks like they should come to their conclusion very soon with the player all set to extend with the club until 2025.
