Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is ready to sign his new contract with the Nerazzurri, and will become the club’s highest earner next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Argentine will earn around €6-6.5 million net on his new deal, which will be enough to make him the highest-paid squad member starting next season.

Martinez is currently away on international duty with Argentina, but when he is back the first order of business will be signing a new deal which will take him past the summer of 2023 when his current contract runs out.

Negotiations have progressed quickly after his agent and the club began talks a couple of weeks ago, and with the player’s will being to stay on with the club and Inter ready to offer him higher wages than anyone else at the club to reward his performances, he has been quickly convinced that his future should be in a Nerazzurri shirt.
