Italian agent Andrea D’Amico believes that Inter have done well in the summer transfer window, emerging with a strong team despite major sales and financial problems.

Speaking to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport in an interview published in yesterday’s print edition, the agent gave his view that the Nerazzurri made positive signings which went a long way towards replacing the players who departed.

Despite having had a dominant season in Serie A last season, the Nerazzurri did not inspire confidence that they could repeat this form during certain points in the summer.

The sales of Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain and Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea represented major losses on the pitch especially coming after the departure of head coach Antonio Conte, but the club worked diligently to replace these key players and now look to be in strong form with new arrivals at the heart of a perfect start to the season.

“The clubs that had to sell, got good prices and had a good transfer window this summer, and that they replaced at a lower cost – I am thinking of Inter, who made up for the exits well with Dzeko, Correa and Calhanoglu.”
