Italian agent Beppe Accardi believes that Inter have improved overall compared to last season in the composition of their squad, becoming more balanced as a team.
Speaking to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb.com, the agent gave the view that the Nerazzurri’s squad has a better balance of different qualities despite the significant upheaval in the transfer market which saw important Scudetto-winners leave and replacements come im, and that they are favourites to defend their title.
The sales of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku to Paris Saint-German and Chelsea respectively led many to believe that the Nerazzurri’s level would drop, with the pair having been important contributors last season under Antonio Conte.
However, Accardi is of the view that the team has the right balance now and that Conte’s sucessor Simone Inzaghi can call upon players with the necessary qualities to execute his tactical vision thanks to the recruitment of a number of different profiles by the club during the summer transfer window.
“Five teams will compete for the Scudetto, but Inter remain the favourite,” he said, “they have built a more balanced team and brought in important money.”
