Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi will rely on Edin Dzeko and Alexis Sanchez heavily in the coming weeks, with the pair’s availability important to the manager’s tactical vision.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that with Sanchez close to a return from injury he could figure into Inzaghi’s plans in a major way, whilst Dzeko is set to continue his impressive start having instantly come into the team at the start of the season.

Despite the Serie A season being only two games old, the need to use the entire squad to get through the tough schedule has already been underlined during the international break.

Between the likely unavailability of late-returning players from South American players from international duty and the ambiguous fitness concerns of players like Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni, the coach will have many selection dilemmas.

In Dzeko, he has a senior figure who has shown durability and who can provide a point of reference and lead the line during the matches to come.

Meanwhile, Sanchez is close to returning from a persistent calf injury, and the coach will be ready to rely on him and make him a big part of plans with the player eager to show his best and make a big contribution.
