Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi Forced To Rotate Squad Heavily Against Sampdoria, Italian Media Report

Inter will have to play with a heavily rotated squad against Sampdoria in their first Serie A match back from the international break this Sunday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Nerazzurri manager Simone Inzaghi will likely rotate his team significantly with several important players unlikely to feature from the start.

On the flanks, Federico Dimarco and Matteo Dimarco will be the likely starting pair on the left and right respectively, with neither of the Italian pair having been on international duty the past couple weeks.

Meanwhile, in the back three Danilo D’Ambrosio could take the place of Slovak international Milan Skriniar.

In attack, the likes of Joaquin Correa and Lautaro Martinez will likely not be ready to appear from the start with the two Argentines returning at the eleventh hour from international duty, while Alexis Sanchez will not be ready to start either, and so Inzaghi is expected to revert to the setup used against Genoa by playing Stefano Sensi as an attacking midfielder behind Edin Dzeko.
