Inter Defender Federico Dimarco Given Decent Ratings For Performance Against Sampdoria By Italian Media

NOT GETTY DON'T USE

Italian media have commended Inter defender Federico Dimarco for a solid performance across the board after his first start for the Nerazzurri in yesterday’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria.

The 23-year-old received decent grades in the player ratings for the 2-2 draw from all the major newspapers in Italy, in a match which saw him not only make his first start for his boyhood club but also score his first goal in Inter colours with a quality free-kick.

Dimarco started yesterday’s Serie A match in place of Alessandro Bastoni who had been ruled out with a thigh injury picked up while on injury duty, and he made the most of his opportunity.

Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport and Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport both awarded the young defender a grade of 7/10, while he received a slightly lower score of 6.5/10 for his performance from Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport and Italian news outlet L’Interista.
