The Champions League offers the best of football by pitting the top teams in major domestic leagues in Europe to battle it out for the prestigious UEFA Champions League Cup.

CL football is especially noteworthy because it gives football fans all over Europe the joy of watching their teams match up with top-quality teams from other football leagues. It’s like a healthy version of the “us versus them” narrative.

For football fans who are so certain of their team’s ability to dominate teams from other leagues, now’s the time to put your money where your mouth is.

If you’re wondering what the best place to do that is, you may check out this review of betway.

This year’s Champions League competition is even bigger for Inter Milan. It is time to regain bragging rights that were unfortunately lost in last year’s CL competition when Inter crashed out of the competition.

The Nerazzurri have not been able to make it past the group stage in the last three CL outings.

In late August, the CL draws were organized and concluded with Inter to compete in Group D with three other teams — Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and Sheriff.

Interestingly, both Real and Shakhtar were in the same group as Inter Milan in the last competition.

Here’s a look at some relevant information of Inter’s competitors;

Real Madrid

Real Madrid has undergone quite the makeover — as far as lineups go. Just like Inter Milan, Real Madrid are in this year’s CL with a new head coach in control with Ancelotti coming in for Zidane.

Real have also parted ways with key players such as Ramos and Varane. So, this makes the point that both teams are still adjusting to lineup changes.

Both Inter Milan have faced off eleven times in the Champions League with each side logging 13 goals each. The most recent matchups happened in last year’s competition. Real Madrid came away with two wins, out of two.

As is often the case when these two sides meet, this will be a big matchup — the biggest in Group D. Real Madrid, after four games, is enjoying more domestic success than Inter but that will not slow the Nerazzurri down.

This will be a matchup to see.

Shakhtar Donetsk

Shakhtar Donetsk is certainly a team that Inter is familiar with given that the two sides played both home and away last CL tournament.

Both games ended in goalless stalemates and that’s something everyone — on both Shakhtar and Inter spectrums — will prefer to see play out differently. Football fans love goals.

Shakhtar is a hugely successful club in the Ukrainian League and will certainly be moving to register their championship intentions against Inter.

Already, players from Shakhtar have been speaking to the media about their plans to go for glory against the Italian champions and everyone else.

Sheriff Tiraspol

Sheriff is the new kid on the block. This is their first taste of Champions League football and we’re pretty sure they’d want more of it.

Sheriff is a team from Moldova with modest success in European Football. They have previously beaten teams like Red Star Belgrade and Dinamo Zagreb, and that’s a pointer to the fact that they can be dangerous.

Still, Inter should look to dominate Sheriff and gather valuable points in the process.
