Ex-Inter Defender Massimo Paganin: “Important Game For Inter Against Fiorentina”

Former Inter defender Massimo Paganin believes that this Tuesday’s trip to Tuscany to face Fiorentina will be a significant test of the Nerazzurri at this stage of the season.

Speaking to the program Tutto Convocati on Italian broadcaster Radio 24, Paganin highlighted the importance of the fixture, which will give a clearer glimpse into how ready the Nerazzurri are to compete for the Scudetto.

Inter have gotten their strong start to the season back on track with an emphatic 6-1 win against Bologna at the San Siro, but they could face a more serious challenge when they travel to the Stadio Artemio Franchi to take on La Viola.

Vincenzo Itaaliano’s men have won their last three Serie A matches and are only a point behind Inter, so they cannot be assumed to be anything other than a difficult fixture.

The Nerazzurri will be pleased with their result against Bologna on Saturday, but they will have it all to do again when they take on Fiorentina, a top side according to Paganin.

“Fiorentina are growing,” he said, “they have sgown the strength to hold onto Vlahovic. Italiano, as well, has them playing good football. It will be an important match for Inter regardless of what happens tonight between Juve and Milan.”
