Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has decided that when Marcelo Brozovic needs a rest this season, Nicolo Barella should be the man to fill in for him, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported by Tuttosport, Marcelo Brozovic is the engine room of Inter and has been for many years. That is why it is vital to keep him in peak physical condition, as he often dictates the pace and energy of Inter’s games.
Inter have a lot of matches to play this season so there will be times when Marcelo Brozovic needs to sit out, and Simone Inzaghi needs someone to bring the same energy to the centre of the pitch.
The coach has reportedly decided that Nicolo Barella, who usually plays on the right of the midfield three, can bring the necessary energy and skill to the middle.
He would then be replaced by one of Matias Vecino, Arturo Vidal, and Roberto Gagliardini.
