Simone Inzaghi could end up achieving more with his Inter team than Antonio Conte managed with a stronger squad on paper, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by Il Giornale, Simone Inzaghi is doing better on paper than Antonio Conte was at the same point of the season.
The Nerazzurri now have three more points than Antonio Conte did after five games last season, and they have only conceded five goals. Under Antonio Conte, eight goals had been conceded by this stage.
Inter are currently the league’s top scorers having bagged 18 goals in five games. What will please Simone Inzaghi more is that the goals have been spread around the team more evenly.
It appears the team are much less dependant on one player now, like they were with Romelu Lukaku under Antonio Conte.
It remains to be seen if Simone Inzaghi can defend the Scudetto, which is where he should really be judged.
