Inter strike partnership Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez have managed to make themselves the most lethal duo in front of goal in Serie A thanks to the work of coach Simone Inzaghi.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight the work done by the former Lazio boss to bring the best out of the pair as the basis for his team’s attack.

Dzeko has been a hit at Inter, scoring six goals from his first seven games in a Nerazzurri shirt which is is second-best start to a season after the seven bagged for Roma in the first seven matches of the 2017-18 season, and equal to his best starts to a season for Wolfsburg and Manchester City.

Martinez, meanwhile, has had his strongest goal-scoring start to a season in Italy, with five goals from six after missing the Nerazzurri’s opener against Genoa.

Inzaghi has put his faith in the pair, with Joaquin Correa also a trusted option in his mind following their work together at Lazio, and they have rewarded him by acting as a lethal partnership in front of goal.
