Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskiy believes that his goal against Inter was not the only top long-range striker which he has scored in his career.

Speaking to Bergamo-based newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo in an interview published in today’s print edition, the Ukrainian stated that he felt that his strike during the first half at the San Siro was far from the only great goal he has managed to score in his career.

Inter struggled to deal with the threat of Malinovsiy throughout the first half of their Serie A clash with Atalanta, with the midfielder’s turns in tight spaces allowing him to pick out dangerous passes in the final third.

More than this, however, the Ukrainian’s long-range shooting proved to be a decisive factor, with one such hit finding the back of the net to cancel out an early Inter goal.

This is not the first time Malinovskiy has managed such an effort, however, with the 28-year-old having scored similar goals on a number of occasions in past seasons, including against Juventus last season.

“Against Inter I scored a good goal,” he stated, “a long shot with the ball going in at the far post, but in recent years I have scored other very good ones, against Verona, Lazio and Juventus, for example.”
