Inter striker Lautaro Martinez could start in the Argentine national team’s World Cup qualifier against Uruguay tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Argentine newspaper Ole, who report that the Nerazzurri man should be over an injury which ruled him out of their match against Paraguay.

Martinez missed the Paraguay clash, with the team having decided not to risk playing him as a precaution due to a minor muscle fatigue which he had been experiencing in the buildup to the match.

However, the 24-year-old has recovered quickly, and spent yesterday training alongside other squad members who had not taken part in the match against Paraguay.

Should he be considered to be back to 100% fitness, then the Inter forward would likely be selected to start against Uruguaya, with the striker being one of the first-choice attacking options for Albiceleste coach Lionel Scaloni as he looks to wrap up qualification for the 2022 World Cup.
