Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is likely to start for Argentine in their World Cup qualifier against Uruguay tonight.
This according to Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports, who report that the 24-year-old will be selected for the match by Albiceleste coach Lionel Scaloni after missing their qualifier against Paraguay.
Martinez was given a rest in the first qualifier of the international break due to having suffered from some minor muscle fatigue in the preparation for the match.
However, the Argentine should be ready to make his return against Uruguay tonight, and head coach Scaloni looks set to rely on the Nerazzurri man to try and get the better of Uruguay.
Martinez will likely take the place of his Inter teammate Joaquin Correa, who started against Paraguay but will drop to the bench for tonight’s fixture.
It remains to be seen just what the striker’s fitness will be like for the match, but he is expected to be deemed to be ready to start.
