Perisic is in his seventh year at Inter, one of which was spent on loan with Bayern Munich, and the 32-year-old has still found ways to affect games regularly from his left-sided position.

Starting seven out of the Nerazzurri’s nine matches so far, he has managed to provide crucial contributions such as his assist for Edin Dzeko to kick of the comeback win against Sassuolo last weekend.

When he returned from Bayern last year, Perisic was used by coach Antonio Conte in a different one to the attacking winger position he had mostly been used to, converting to a wing-back covering the entire left flank.

The Croat has enjoyed playing in the position, helping the club to the Scudetto last season, and is still useful in the position.
