There is still a distance between the wage that Marcelo Brozovic feels he should be getting and the wage that Inter are prepared to offer him, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by FcINternews, a new meeting is expected to take place between the player’s entourage and the Inter executives to try and get close to an agreement at the end of October.
A meeting did take place yesterday in Milan but it was reported by some that Marcelo Brozovic arrived without his agent or lawyer which angered Inter, as it makes the meeting largely useless.
Inter apparently do not want to go above €4-4.5 million a season for the Croatian midfielder, but he is requesting a figure more like €6 million.
This gap is not the sort that should result in the player leaving when his contract expires in June 2022, but it certainly needs to be negotiated upon.
