Udinese Sporting Director Pierpaolo Marino: “Inter Are Still Favourites For The Scudetto”

Udinese Sporting Director Pierpaolo Marino believes that Inter are still the team best placed to go on and win the Scudetto and defend their crown.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia before the Nerazzurri defeated his side 2-0, he gave the view that Inter are the favourites to win the Serie A title even though they are a few points behind the top of the table.

Inter have gotten the season off to a fairly strong start, which they continued with a fairly comfortable win over Udinese at the San Siro earlier this afternoon, but some dropped points see them with a gap behind league leaders AC Milan and Napoli who they much chase.

However, they are the defending champions and still one of the teams with the strongest squads in the division, and Marino believes that of the sides at the top end of the table it is Inter who are the likeliest to come out on top at the end of the season.

“They remain title favourites even though their are significant outside challengers like Napoli,” he said, “but Marotta has built an impeccable squad.”
