Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has said that Inter will do everything that they can to find an agreement on a new contract with Marcelo Brozovic, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As was reported by Gianluca Di Marzio for Sky Sport, via FCINter1908,  the contract situation with Marcelo Brozovic is at a crucial point because his current deal expires in 2022 and he is a key member of Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

That is why the club will do all they can to speak to the right people in the Croatian midfielder’s entourage and find an agreement.

“Deadline and performances make the renewal essential. The dialogues continue, Inter did not understand who they should speak to as an agent, now the situation is clearer and Inter will try to finish this operation too.”

Gianluca Di Marzio also discussed the renewal of Nicolo Barella that is expected to be made official today.

That deal was much easier for Inter to sort out because the wages he asked for were representative of his performances and importance to the team.

“Barella deserved it, his salary was lower than what he showed on the field. He will earn about €5 million plus bonuses, the agreement had already been in place for some time, from Kyiv when Ausilio and Beltrami were caught in the hotel. He will sign today.”

Marcelo Brozovic is now attracting the interest of Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint Germain.
