Inter could soon part ways with Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij as contract negotiations are yet to get going, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Dutchman was keen to renew his deal with Inter two years ago but it did not happen. Now his current deal ends in June 2023 and the club may seek to sell him.

He joined Inter for free from Lazio so any sale this summer would represent a profit for the Nerazzurri and Tottenham Hotspur, with Antonio Conte in charge, are believed to be keen on a deal.

Defensive partner Milan Skriniar is much more likely to remain at the club though, with negotiations for his new contract expected to begin at the start of 2022.

The Slovakian has no interest in leaving the club and is not though to be expecting a wage increase that would be prohibitive for Inter.
