Inter are planning to make Lille striker Jonathan David their main signing in the January transfer window, according to a report in the French broadest media today.
As has been reported by Telefoot in France, via FCInter1908, the Canadian striker is the leading goalscorer in Ligue 1 this season despite the presence of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at Paris Saint Germain.
Inter have been keen on the player for some time but now they want to accelerate their interest and find a player that can alternate with Edin Dzeko in the team and become his successor when the Bosnian’s contract runs out.
Lille are not keen on letting their star performer leave the club in January though, meaning a summer move is significantly more likely.
The team are in very bad form in Ligue 1 despite winning the title last season so the player could decide to force the move in January to Inter.
