Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has made the point to his players that if they are able to beat Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League tomorrow, then they can fully turn their attention to their Serie A campaign.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the coach emphasized the importance of getting qualification for the knockout rounds of the Champions League wrapped up as early as possible in preparation for tomorrow’s match.

Inter face a Shakhtar team who they know will not be an easy matchup, but if they can beat the Ukrainians then there is a good chance that they will automatically qualify for the knockout rounds or at least take a big step towards it.

Inzaghi is still making some considerations about who will be in the starting eleven tomorrow, with the likes of Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco both in contention to start in defense, and Edin Dzeko likely to be partnered by either Lautaro Martinez or Joaquin Correa in attack.

Whoever is on the pitch, however, the coach is determined to get three points out of the match and to get into a commanding position in Europe so that his team can focus their energy on finding their best form domestically.
