Inter are set to be awarded the Ambrogino D’Oro by the city of Milan for their work with Inter Campus, a prize which is given to recognize works of civic merit by individuals or groups.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will be given the award on December 7 at the Dal Verme theatre in Milan.
Inter have already received the Ambrogino D’Oro on one occasion, during 2011 in recognition for their sporting achievements in the wake of the historic European treble won by the club during the previous season.
However, this time the award will be given on the basis of the social benefits of the Inter Campus project, in the city and all around the world.
The Inter Campus project sets up footballing academies in various locations around the world which provide resources to help young footballers develop their skills to their fullest potential.
